Read the rules carefully
1. The Fair Board has
decided to drop the entry fee for open class hogs. The hog show will be on Friday,
Aug. 17.
2. Competition open to Renville and adjoining counties.
3. Entry will
consist of one market barrow.
4. Entries are limited to no more than 2 barrows per
farm or family. Example: father-son or husband-wife.
5. Registered entries will be
accepted and weighed from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17,
2006.
6. Hogs must weigh between 220 and 290 pounds.
7. Judging begins at 4:30 p.m.
on August 17.
8. Live Place Premiums:
1st - $25.00 6th - $15.00
2nd - $20.00 7th -
$13.00
3rd - $18.00 8th - $12.00
4th - $16.00 9th - $11.00
5th - $15.00 10th -
$10.00
9. The top 10 places in the live show will receive a ribbon from the County
Pork Producers Association.
10. All carcass premiums are paid by the County Pork
Producers Association.

1st - $25.00 6th - $14.00
2nd -
$20.00 7th - $13.00
3rd - $18.00 8th - $12.00
4th - $16.00 9th - $11.00
5th -
$15.00 10th - $10.00
11. This year any 4-H member who would like to enter one of the
barrows that they show, may do so. These barrows will have to meet all of the
previously-listed requirements.
These barrows can be entered in addition to the
2-barrow limit per farm or family.
12. Hogs must be in the possession of the owner
at least 90 days prior to the show.
